
TEERE's new six member Board inducted
We are glad to announce that TEERE has inducted a new six member board to steer the affairs of the organization for the next two years. They were sworn into office by Mr. Edmund Apiiga, the Regional Director of the Department of Social Welfare at a short ceremony in Bolgatanga. The board include: Mr. Sumaila Seidu Saaka (Chairman), a Development Consultant and a former Editor of the Ghana News Agency; Dr. Christiana Akpilima-Atibil, former Director for Research, Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation at the Northern Development Authority (formerly Savannah Accelerated Development Authority); Madam Destina Samani, West Africa Regional Specialist of the United States Forest Service – International Program (USFS-IP); Dr. Felicia Esinam Pufaa, a lecturer at the University for Development Studies (UDS), Wa Campus, Professor Ephraim Avea Nsoh, the Chief Executive Officer of TEERE and Madam Kate Odzawo, Operations Analyst at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The Board chairman Mr. Sumaila Saaka, in his acceptance speech commended the staff for their commitment and dedication to the organisation. He encouraged staff to keep doing their best for the effective growth of the organization, whiles assuring them (staff) of his colleagues willingness in bringing on board their vast experience in developmental work, professionalism, support and self-determination to aid TEERE achieve its vision.
